Optically, this new product offers great versatility from Open-Eye (170°) for extra wide beam with a single hard shadow to precisely controlled Fresnel from 10° to 140° using the two different Fresnel lenses: Spot or Flood.
With its wide variety of beam angle, the Alpha 4K is capable of replacing, with better performance, any open face and Fresnel and in some configuration a Par.
A new material is used for the reflector. This material is a composite of quartz fiber and has never been used in the lighting industry before.
This material stands such high temperature as 1200°C allowing the unit to be used pointing straight down without damaging any component. Even though this material is white, its reflective capacity is higher by 7% than the polished aluminium commonly used.
The input of end-users has generated practical innovations. The braking system of the yoke is unique in the way that a gentle twist is enough to tighten the head firmly. Spigots have been added to the yoke to add on frames or flags without using an extra stand. Changing from 4K to 2,5 K bulb is easy and done in seconds.
